Abstract
The behavior of complementary solutions is investigated through a comprehensive set of computational results for simple harmonic eddy-current problem. It is found that despite the absence of bounds the two solutions complement each other in a tangible and useful sense. A simple one-dimensional problem was chosen for application on a thin conducting sheet. The over-all accuracy due to the effect of various factors was examined and was much better than the available solution.
